He was a man who thrived in the spotlight, always among the people, performing for them. Vittorio Gassman was one of the most significant and influential actors in Italian cinema, an icon who left an indelible mark on Italian culture. His illustrious career, political activism, and charismatic personality made him a beloved and respected celebrity both in Italy and around the world.

For Aldo Fabrizi: we Romans cannot survive without his memory.
Our sidecar is orange, like the beloved amatriciana sauce he adored. Alongside his passion for cinema, he had a love for cooking. His comedic sketches about pasta and his various poems written in Roman dialect dedicated to traditional dishes are unforgettable. When he passed away in 1990 at the age of 84, he was buried in the monumental Verano cemetery.
His memorial epitaph humorously reads: “Taken from this world too al dente.”
